The Ministries of Calvary Chapel: Kids

Kids are very important to Calvary Chapel. We view them as God's gift to us and the next generation that will do things for Him. Because of this we offer various programs on Sundays and during the week.

Our church loves babies and we have a well-equipped nursery that is manned every Sunday morning and evening and also on Wednesday evening.

During school year we provide a weekly children's program for children ages four to sixth grade. Four- and five-year-olds participate in the Gopher Club put together by Word of Life , while the older children are part of the WoL Olympians program. Both of these programs focus on discipling the kids, helping them with memorizing Scripture, encouraging them to have daily devotions in the Bible, and also giving them opportunities to get involved in reaching out to their local communities.

During the Summer we offer the Children In Prayer Service (Ch.I.P.S.) which runs parallel to our Wednesday evening prayer service. This time gives kids a chance to get involved in what God is doing by offering them a child-oriented way of praying for their church, their home town, their country, and this world.

In addition to the nursery we offer Junior Church during the regular worship service. Four- and five-year-olds are taught using the David C. Cook Bible-In-Life Curriculum, while the older kids (grades 1-6) learn about the Bible using materials developed by Child Evangelism Fellowship.

Every summer we have Vacation Bible School . For one week, usually near the end of July, kids can come to Calvary Chapel for a special program in the morning to learn about God and His Word. This is also a great way for you to get to know us better if you have kids.
